How I work

Lean Design Co. is a one-person consulting practice. The senior on the discovery call is the senior on the keyboard. That changes how engagements are scoped, priced, and delivered.

No handoffs.
One senior person doing the discovery and leading the build. Whoever you talk to is whoever does the work. There is no junior layer underneath.

Recommendations have to fit your stack.
The shiniest AI tool is worthless if nobody internally can support it after I'm gone. Part of the work is understanding what your team already runs and what they can run going forward.

Compliance constraints come from your team.
In regulated environments, the constraints come from your IT, legal, and compliance leads. Privacy rules, audit trails, recordkeeping, jurisdictional requirements vary by industry. My job is making sure the AI architecture and workflows fit within them.

Scope sized to the problem.
No junior layer means no padding, no busywork, no team to keep busy. Engagements are sized to the actual work, not a calendar I have to fill.

Engagements are remote-first, hourly-billed, and worked by me directly. No team rotations. No overhead layer. Scope is bounded by what makes sense, not by what fills a calendar.
Referral rate
$150/ hr
Same work, half the rate, when introduced by someone I already know and trust. Ask if you think you qualify.
Engagement floor: $5,000. Below this is a no, even when I'd love to help.

Senior input on real decisions.
AI architecture choices, stack and vendor reviews, integration and compliance mapping, hands-on builds when the scope warrants it. Whatever moves the actual problem forward.
How it works
Async-first. Sessions when needed.
Most work is async over shared docs and pull requests. Working sessions and reviews happen on a scheduled video call. No travel, no on-site, no calendar Tetris.
